Nice Tattoo
Some girl posted this on Facebook. If you don’t recognize it already, it’s the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies book cover in tattoo form. This is actually a girl from New York named Stephanie’s tattoo. She said it’s a little swollen here but it still looks hot to me! Stephanie has shown dedication and respect for zombies and Jane Austen at the same time. Way to go Stephanie for being a super badass chick! Much respect.

ZOMBIENINJAPIRATE
Whats the only thing cooler than a zombie? Well, maybe a ZombieNinjaPirate! I’m trying to imagine the sequence of events that would have to take place to allow a zombie ninja pirate to be made. I guess first and foremost he would need to be a pirate while he was alive. Then I suppose while still alive would decide he also wanted to be a ninja and sail his pirate ship to japan and begin intensive ninja training maybe in exchange for pirate bootie? Then, on one of his ninja missions after already being wounded he came across a horde of hungry zombies! He was barely able to escape but had been bitten in the process. Inevitably, he got turned into a zombie ninja pirate. Well, I guess it could happen. Anyways, Chris Wahl is the artist that designed this t-shirt. I looked through his illustrations and most of his art seems to have a dark and/or sexy style to it. A lot of the art has a comic book feel to it which I love. A demonic zombie is very frightening because it is a corpse that was reanimated by a demonic force of hell. This zombie will do the evil bidding of the demonic entity that summoned him. It has eyes that glow red with the fires of hell. It has immense power and has the ability to throw hellfire at its enemies. It will stop at nothing and feels no pain. Because its reanimation is powered by hell, destroying the brain will not stop it. This is the most dangerous of zombies. It gets the maximum of five brains. I don’t have any information on how to stop this species of zombie. Please let me know if anyone has anymore information out there. Thank you!

This has got to be the coolest zombie event I’ve heard of thus far. Not only do you get to dress up as a zombie and parade around Los Angeles on a night other than Halloween, you get to see awesome zombie art! A perfect Pre-Valentines day activity!
The opening reception on February 6th starts with a zombie walk, which involves dressing up and acting (for some of us) like a zombie all through the city. Love it! Then ends up at a huge art show at Nucleus Gallery. This art event gathers some of the most recognized names in the zombie industry as well as fellow zombie enthusiasts.
Free prizes, free refreshments, free admission (for those dressed as zombies, otherwise $2 bucks. So its either this event or a bottle of Charles Shaw. hmmm…), live music and book signing are in store for you at this monstrous gathering. Event runs Feb 6-22, more details at gallerynucleus.com. So go and get your zombie on, and bring a zombie lovin date!
A graveyard zombie
Fresh from the graveyard these zombies are usually older and more decayed than other zombie species. They reak of rotting flesh and have spots of skin eaten away by hungry maggots. Something reanimates them from the grave (possibly some military bio-technology experiment gone wrong) and they dig their way up to the surface. Once they have risen from the grave they wander the graveyard in search of fresh brains. This kind of zombie is in immense pain since their body is decaying. The only thing that will make them feel better is eating brains and they will search far and wide for them. They start out in the cemetary but will wander into nearby neighborhoods in search of brains. They are not very smart and therefore can be tricked or distracted. They are attracted to any noises they hear because they think that might mean there are brains nearby. Defeat them by destroying or seperating the brain from the body. Shotguns are very effective against them. Just shoot for the brain. This however, will not be effective if their is a large horde of them. This zombie species gets 3.5 brains out of 5 for it’s danger rating.

I can has brains?
In my opinion, cats are just plain creepy to begin with. Turn one into a zombie and it’s really gross! You get a stinky mangy ugly looking zombie cat. Zombie cats have the ability to spread infection and cause a lot of scrape-age to your body. They are very aggressive and attack anything that moves. They will wait in a dark corner and jump out at you when you last expect it making a screeching sound and freaking you out. If you get bitten or scratched you will be infected so do your best to avoid these zombies. Another danger is that these can look almost like a normal cat. Pay attention to aggressive behavior. This can tip you off right away. Also there eyes can get a strange yellow quality to them and pay attention to blood! If the cat has blood spots on it’s body it may have died and come back as a zombie. The blood may have come from the cat itself when it died or from animals or humans it has attacked since it became a zombie. Either way it should clue you in that there is something wrong. It’s important to stay alert and pay attention to these signs. It’s better to be safe than sorry. Too many times people ignore these signs and end up infected. The cat zombie gets two and a half brains for it’s danger factor. It’s more dangerous than a zombie rat or a baby zombie.
Rat Zombie
These disgusting foul creatures infest dark corners and wall space in buildings. They are aggressive and will attack if they notice you. The zombification process somehow does not effect the rats speed. Because of their size they are less dangerous than most other zombies. However, their ability to infect makes them a real threat. I give zombie rats 2 brains for their danger rating.

So, I just posted on facebook that the only problem with my pepperspray is that it wont work on zombies. I have often thought late at night while walking to my car, this is great if a human attacks me but what about zombies? What if a zombie wanders around a dark corner and attacks me? Then one of my friends came to the rescue and told me about this product. It’s called Pep-Z and it is a pepper spray that actually works on zombies! This is exactly what I needed. Now I can have peace of mind that if I get mixed up in a zombie attack I will have some kind of defense against it. My only other choice would be to rely on my fighting skills which I have to admit aren’t that up to par lately. Dead Man's Bones
My friend JadeValentine over at Gamebetties just sent me this song and I really love this video. It’s super creepy with all the vintage photographs and then I found myself singing the song later in the day. It’s really rather catchy! Later, she told me Ryan Gosling is in the band. Then I was like who is that? (because i’m pretty lame when it comes to knowing movie stars names and such) It turns out he is a famous actor from The Notebook. The other less famous band member is Zach Shields. Who the heck is he you say? How should I know? The band is called Dead Man’s Bones and they say their influences are “Disney Haunted Mansion, doo wop and 60s girl groups.” Hmmm… who hasn’t been influenced by that?

A Voodoo Zombie and his Boker
A voodoo zombie is a zombie that was created by an evil boker which is a kind of witch doctor. The boker creates a zombie to punish a person or just to have a personal slave they can use to do their bidding. The boker uses a darker side of the religion voodou to create the zombie. With that being said, not all voodou is dark. See this post for more information on the history of voodou and zombies. A voodoo zombie is slow moving and not the sharpest tool in the shed. Therefore you should be able to trick one fairly easily. There is usually just one or two in a village so it’s not like there is a big threat of hordes. A voodoo zombie is interesting because it may have some memory of it’s human life, however, this is a faint and abstract concept to it and keep in mind it has to do whatever the boker wills it to. So, even if it remembers you from when it was alive it may still have to kill you because that’s what the boker wants it to do. They are slow but strong and it’s boker may ask it to attack at the most opportune moments (such as while sleeping.) Therefore, I give the Voodoo Zombie three and a half brains for it’s danger rating.
