Imagine attending a funeral only to find the deceased sitting up in his coffin. This is just the beginning for the people of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dawn of the Dreadfuls. Written by Steve Hockensmith, this book is a prequel to the quite popular Pride and Prejudice and Zombies novel. It goes through Elizabeth Bennets teen years and how she learns to become a zombie slayer. If you are a fan of zombies and romance then this is definitely one you should check out. The books publish date is March 23, 2010. Their will be a contest by the publishers, Quirk Classics. If you would like to check it out follow this link: Contest at quirkclassics.com.

Mummification is the process of preserving a dead body. Ancient Egypt is famous for their mummies but there are mummies all over the world. Technically a mummy that has been brought back to life is a zombie although it might not be what you first think of when you hear the word zombie. A mummy that has not been brought back to life is just a preserved dead body. Usually a mummy is brought to life through magic which makes it a little different than the normal graveyard zombie. A mummy may even lose it’s head and not die.
The good news is that since they are so old and dried out a mummy is very brittle. The best way to defeat one is to smash it to bits. Another option is to use fire. Mummies are very afraid of fire and will back away if you have a torch. If you use the torch on them they will burn rather quickly. The other option is to reverse the magical spell which can be rather complicated. In the case of an Ancient Egyptian mummy, the magic spell usually will consist of a curse that a person has received for disturbing the pharoahs tomb. The mummy will be trying to protect the tomb and get revenge in the name of the pharoah. While there may be a way to reverse the spell it will probably involve being able to read heiroglyphs.
I give the mummy zombie 3 brains for the danger rating. They are dangerous and strong but there are some simple ways in which to kill them and on top of that they are pretty slow moving which makes it easy to run from them.
While looking for different zombie related christmas presents I found a website featuring beautiful women dressed as zombies. Upon further exploration I found the cutest item ever, A zombie pinup calender! All of the models are beautiful and photographed in different clever settings. The month of April features a pinup beauty in the classic posed on a cars hood scene only you can see her dead boyfriend hanging out one of the windows. I think this is a great present idea so I thought I would share it with you. Don’t be alarmed if you find these zombies hot. It’s perfectly natural and could happen to anybody. This calender just shows just because you are undead doesn’t mean you have to be ugly. Rotting flesh is so in!

This was the first video game that introduces the zombies. Released in 1984, Zombie Zombie is a sequel to the game “Ant Attack.” In this game the zombie infestation started when a man (you) returned to a place rumored to be cursed. The man opened a door to the dark lands, unleashing a disease that causes the dead to come to life. The only way to kill the zombie is to lure it to high ground and somehow get it to fall off the cliff.
